These shims are constructed by laminating very thin metal / nonmetal and pressure bonded into a rigid structure that appear and function as a solid sheet or plate using special adhesives which can be peeled off easily.

 

The advantages of laminated Metal are, you get greater precision and quality with speed into production, no more counting of shims, laminated shims offer critical adjustments during assemble thereby eliminating costly machining time and flexibility to make swift and small adjustments with precision alignment and tolerance compensation.
